Entities, Types & Relationships

OpenMetadata mô hình hóa thế giới dữ liệu thành entity (thực thể), type (kiểu) và relationship (quan hệ) — tạo nên đồ thị metadata thống nhất.

Entity (thực thể)

Mỗi tài sản dữ liệu là một entity, có id, name, FQN, mô tả, owner, tags…. Các loại entity tiêu biểu:

Database Service → Database → Schema → Table (kèm Columns)
Dashboard Service → Dashboard / Chart
Pipeline Service → Pipeline
Messaging Service → Topic
ML Model, Container (storage), Search Index, Stored Procedure…

FQN — Fully Qualified Name

OpenMetadata sinh tên đầy đủ phân cấp cho mỗi entity, ví dụ: snowflake_prod.sales.public.orders (service → database → schema → table).

→ FQN bảo đảm định danh duy nhất và phản ánh cấu trúc phân cấp.

Relationship (quan hệ)

Quan hệ giữa entity được lưu thành đồ thị (nút + cạnh), ví dụ:

User owns Dashboard
Database contains Table
Pipeline uses Table
User follows Table

Các loại cạnh điển hình: contains, uses, owns, follows. Đồ thị này cho phép kiểm định ràng buộc (vd không xóa Database còn chứa Table) và truy vết lineage.

EntityReference

Khi một entity tham chiếu entity khác (vd owner), nó dùng EntityReference (id + type) — nhẹ, nhất quán, dễ giải quyết khi đọc.
